I have been living by Murphy's law this week!!!!!  But FINALLY things are starting to get better and a brand new Alaskan Raspberry Wheat sure can't hurt anything!!!  Such a cute label!

I finally got a weekend of no school work!!  Bo came up to spend a long weekend with me.  Roger and Lilly let us borrow their truck.  Country riding Fairbanks style!!

This is a wildlife refuge in Fairbanks.  It is managed by Alaska Fish and Game.  Lots of birds to see.

Well, I've made it 1 week!!!!  I have actually fallen right in to what I remember dorm life being like.  I had chili cheese fritos and a diet coke for breakfast (while studying for a test) , trail mix for lunch (while studying for a test), and finally some "real food" (and beverage) for supper.  I decided to take the evening off and catch up with friends and family.  It has been a nice evening, but back to the grind stone tomorrow.  It's hard but I think I might survive (especially since Bo is planning on visiting next weekend YAY!!!!)

University of Alaska Fairbanks - Bartlett Dorm Room 303.  My new "house" for 6 weeks! YUCK!  I think I should have spent the extra money for an apartment.  I am way too old and set in my ways for this!!  By the way, the blinds do NOTHING to block the sunlight!!  I think Fairbanks has 25 hours of sunlight.  I woke up this morning at 3:45am.  The sun was shining SO bright that I thought my clock wasn't working right, but I confirmed it with my phone!!  I don't know how I'm gonna get any sleep!

Friday afternoon ride along the Seward Scenic Byway!!  I ditched the idea of going to Fairbanks two days early and decided to tag along with the boys.  We had a great time hiking, Sea Life Center, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, lots of good food and good company!
